Posted: Mar 02 2015

Festival season is coming up fast! A time when bohemian fashion truly comes to life. While a few staples remain constant throughout the years, there are always new trends on the horizon. Festival fashion is all about taking these boho chic trends and making them your own. We're giving you our hand picked guide to this year's hottest festival trends, how to style your favorite Ettika pieces, and what music you don't want to miss out on this year.

Ettika's Top 3 Pieces for Festival Season '15:
It's no secret that festivals are all about the accessories. We're giving you our designer's top 3 picks to rock at your favorite festival this season and telling you exactly where to find them.

1. Coin Head Piece

Nothing says bohemian quite like a head piece. This special piece features a coin drop in the center, which gives it a gypsy feel. It goes well with pretty much anything, but our top picked items to style it with are a pair of funky pants and a graphic tee, or a crop top and high waisted shorts. Get it while it's hot!!!

Ettika's Top 3 Festival 2015 Trends:

1. Athletic Chic:

Trends have been embracing athletic chic this year and it isn't going anywhere. We're talking jerseys, mesh tops, running shorts, and high top nikes. This trend made a small appearance last festival season, but it's about to blow up this year.

Where To Get The Look:
Contemporary shops like Nasty Gal, Urban Outfitters and Forever 21

2. Retro Bell Bottoms

Bell bottom pants have been frequenting the fields of music festivals for quite some time now. Fashion princess Kendall Jenner rocks a printed pair flawlessly at Coachella '14 (top left). The fact that they are already popular means that there is more variety now than ever before. Whether you're all about the flower power, aztec print, denim, or even velvet, there's something out there for you. Style your pants with a cute crop top, and you're all set!

Where To Get The Look:
Hit up these boho chic shops >> Planet Blue, Van De Vort, and Free People

3. Sheer / Crochet Maxi

Stars like Selena Gomez were seen rocking this look at Coachella 2014. According to Spring '15 lookbooks and trend reports, we're going to see many more of these bohemian gowns making appearances this time around. These dresses are a great way to look like a bohemian princess while keeping cool in that desert heat. Throw on some denim cutoffs, your favorite one piece, or a bikini underneath and you're good to go!

Our Top Five Music Must-Sees at Coachella 2015

1. Chet Faker
This soulful indie artist is kicking off Coachella weekend on Friday. His cover of Blackstreet's 'No Diggity' first sparked our interest last year. He continued to put out amazing songs, like his collab with producer/DJ Flume, 'Drop The Game'.

3. Lykke Li
It's impossible not to sway along to Lykke Li's angelic voice and beautiful songs. You've probably heard her song 'I Follow Rivers', along with popular remixes of it. She'll be taking the stage on Friday as well.

2. Glass Animals

We've been obsessing over Glass Animas this year. We're stoked to see this smooth sounding group perform single 'Gooey' along with their other groovy tracks. Catch them on the polo fields on Saturday.

4. The Weeknd
One of the biggest acts to hit Coachella this year! We can't wait to hear the ultra sexy R&B vocalist do his thing. Our favorite track of his? 'Wicked Games'. Check him out on Saturday night.

5. Odesza
Odesza has a totally unique sound that we can't get enough of. You can't help but move to their synthy-electronic tracks. Trust us, check them out on Sunday and you won't be disappointed. Check out their song, 'Say My Name' for a preview.

We hope you enjoyed our Gypsy of the Valley Festival Guide! Stay tuned for future guides from our bloggers. Thanks for reading, and happy festival season!
